Smoke Free Spartanburg is a coalition that is comprised of local organizations that have the same goal: to eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke. Coalition members are working together to increase the number of facilities and communities that adopt and enforce clean indoor air policies and increase awareness of the dangers of secondhand smoke in Spartanburg County.
The mission of the coalition is to provide education to the citizens on the hazards of secondhand smoke exposure and tobacco use and to encourage a tobacco free Spartanburg County.
Spartanburg County is located in the upstate (“foothills”) of South Carolina. Spartanburg’s municipalities include Landrum, Campobello, Inman, Cowpens, Welford, Greer, Lyman, Duncan, Reidville, Pacolet, Woodruff and Spartanburg City.
The Upstate is one of the fastest growing areas in South Carolina, with a boom in industry, population and real estate.
